The cover is quite appealing and would definitely succeed at getting me to pick it up off the shelf for a look. Unfortunately, after reading this excerpt, the writing seems clunky, especially the dialogue. The story also jumps in very, very suddenly to the "stuck in the elevator" portion. I barely know the protagonist at this point, and the clunky dialogue, plus the fact that she misses another person being in the elevator...Maybe it's just not for me.
