I was really, truly pleasantly surprised by this book! I mean, it's not my favorite, but I thought it would be a quick romance that I would read, enjoy, and then set aside on my shelf and forget about it. The twist at the end, however, was quite shocking – I don't see myself forgetting that anytime soon.
The pacing was a bit off (it was a little too fast at some points) but ultimately, I followed the plot pretty well. I did enjoy the book, so it was a solid three stars for me, but I don't think it's anything special. If the ending didn't happen, it would remind me of other romances I've read and then forgotten about. Would I pick up another book by these authors? It depends. But I will be passing this along to anyone who asks for recommendations in the next few weeks.
