Loved the characters and story
I really enjoyed reading The Very Nice Box. I have always loved shopping at IKEA, and this story is set in similar company called STADA. It was fun to learn more about the inner working and corporate lifestyle at this imaginary business, and I am now very curious to learn how similar this actually is to IKEA. Either way, it made for a great read.
Main character Ava has suffered some losses in her life, and now focuses mainly on her job at STADA, where she is a product engineer. She enjoys and work, and thinks she is happy. Then an attractive new boss appears, and it seems like we're in for a nice workplace romance. Which we get, for awhile, then suspicious things start happening.
The plot is very well written, and the author is constantly able to surprise the reader when things take a turn beyond what is expected. I was eager to learn what happened to Ada and Matt, as well as what happened with the strange events at STADA. This is one of those books that is hard to put down, since so much is going on.
Ava's character development was great as well. I liked learning about her past and how it shaped who she was today. I also liked watching her grow and change as the story progressed.
Five stars, highly recommended!
