Interesting read!
What a fun read! Definitely one to put on your TBR for this summer when it debuts. Ava is a likable protagonist in this fun and sometimes bizarre novel. I love to see diversity in characters and this one delivers that! The LGBTQIA representation is great to see.
At first I felt like I was an employee, immersed in the funny STADA product descriptions and witty dialogue. It felt like the author’s were poking fun at a “hip” company. However, it became a bit much throughout the book. I found myself getting bored and the story dragging here and there.
I absolutely hated the book Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, so I was a bit hesitant going into this one since the two were compared in the description. I definitely enjoyed this book more and found the “charm” to be quirky in a good way. I liked Ava’s character more than Mat’s but thought the two were a good match in this funny novel of friendship and trust.
I would recommend this one!
