The quirky cover and title of this book intrigued me, and the synopsis sounded fun and original. The book has been described as similar to the "Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine," so I knew I was in for a treat. The authors, Gleichman and Blackett are a great team, filling the story with wry as well as heavy moments, and I like that this is not just a rom-com, but a thriller as well. Ava is a character written to easily empathize with in all of her conundrums. Queer characters take up space in this story who are well-written and nuanced, which is something I love to see in novels. Pansexuality in particular, was well developed. This book will entertain you as well as break your heart. I would recommend it to anyone who is young and in the process of finding themselves, anyone who loves rom-com/mysteries, or anyone who just appreciates great writing.
