I am hooked!
This book initially grabbed my attention from the queer main character and the unconventional artwork on the cover.
Upon reading, I was hooked from page 2! I loved the lush descriptions of Ava's boring routines and the unconventional uniformity of her workplace at STADA. I love that she questioned if she was in a cult, both because I somewhat wondered that myself and because I know the feeling of Impractical Corporate Branding.
I was surprised at Ava's non-reaction to the Red Hook Vandals, but I am hoping that is resolved further in the book. I can't wait to find out how Ava reckons her attractions to a man! I hope it is addressed tastefully.
