I thought this was a solid, if slightly slow, start to a novel. I am very intrigued by the premise, and I enjoy the quirkiness of the character Ava and reading from her perspective. I thought the writing gave a really clear picture of her mind and who she is as a character. I wanted the pacing to be a bit faster, but the first look was a relatively short one so it's hard to get a clear picture on how fast/slow the pacing will be.
