I went into this book sort of expecting mermaids, which are my favorite mythical creature and there are not enough stories about them.
The book is based in a water world and so I was excited about the possibility of mermaids and that’s what pulled me in to read it initially. I was also interested in solving the mystery of Tempests parents death.
The story so far is amazing. (I was able to read a snippet of the first 50 pages of an unfinished copy) The world building is unique and the story is interesting. It pulled me in from the start. It has a post apocalyptic, dystopian feel to it which I loved. The main character has faced extreme loss in her life and I am excited to see how her character develops and hopefully overcomes the trauma of her past. I am also interested in figuring out more about this wold, the dead, and what lives in the ocean.
