I wanted to love this book so badly! Unfortunately what started out as an interesting premise (a sister brought back to life and a race against time to solve the mystery of her death) ended up falling flat for me.
I think my issue lies with the pacing. There are so many long scenes of traveling in boats on the water and then the action scenes go by so quickly I can't really take them in! I liked the characters but found them a little uneven (each similar with pockets of feeling and action that finally set them apart). And although we have dual narrator their voices are so similar that it felt more like one to me.
Overall I really did enjoy this book, I liked the plot and felt like it had a satisfying resolution but I would have liked it even more if I hadn't been sidetracked by the issues above.
