When I tell you I devoured this book I mean DEVOURED. I’ll admit I didn’t realize it was being written from two perspectives until about chapter 4 then had to re-read, but the rest of the story was organized in such a natural way. The author is so articulate that I could read 50 pages at a time without missing a beat, having to re read, or getting bored. The setting is beautifully described and I wanted to join their watery world. The characters are so real with raw emotions that I could genuinely relate to. Tempest and Elysea compliment each other with Tempe’s tough independence and Elysea’s sweet nurturing personality. Lor has a rough past and his emotions were always relatable and real. I couldn’t recommend this book more, it is fast-paced, emotional, and takes place in the most unique setting I’ve read about.
