This book had so much potential for me, but overall it was meh.
To start I love the world and I wish I had more of that. I wish I had more about how society was functioning in this new way of life. I loved that there was a backstory to how we got to this point, not just vagueness.
Characters I had no connection with. I honestly didn't care about their fate. Normally I would love the ending, since it was no the normal route, but I was so disconnected it left me feeling nothing.
I found there was a lot of repetitiveness in the book that could have been removed and replaced with giving the characters life, or giving me more of the world.
The pacing was disappointing to me to. Things would happen and then almost immediately be resolved.
I finished it so it was decent book, but there so much that could have made this a real winner to me.
