This is a dystopian set in a world covered in water after waves took out most of the land. The main characters draw you in from the start and you empathize with both of their struggles to come to terms with lost loved ones. Tempe has lost her parents and her sister. Lor has lost his best friend. Tempe is trying to save up enough notes to revive her dead sister for a day and Lor is hiding from his grief in a research facility.
I really liked the concepts of a world trying to survive on limited land space and that the society has a way to resurrect dead loved ones for 24 hours. The setting of the story feels intriguing but also a little eerie. The story does draw you in and makes you want to find out what happens next.
