I previously read Four Dead Queens, which was my first stand alone novel in a few years. But with news of this book being released I am hopeful. Upon reading the first chapter, you got into the mind of Tempe and a glance of what is to come. Tempe appears to be curious and wanting to do right by her family and her sister's memory. The first chapter leaves you wanting more information, like you are wanting more explanation of what is to come. The details that the author gives allows you to envision the sights, the feelings, and perhaps the sounds of the surrounding area. Then the next chapter you are getting another character in this story, someone to offer a different perspective, more of clues to the story. This leaves to want more and wonder how the first two characters will end up connecting. I am curious to read more once the book is released.
