This is a post-apocalyptic story told in different perspectives. The main characters are loners, but in a world with few resources it seems that it is every man for himself. There is a lot of mystery in what the government is withholding from the citizens and the writing leaves you wanting to discover what is going on. I am more interested in the world itself than the story of why the main characters parents died.
It is a little difficult to visualize the landscape and I could have used a lot more description into the cities and how they are built. I'm also left wondering what the cities look like and how people are living. The backstory of how the world ended up underwater could have been described in more detail as well.
