This is a dystopian novel taking place far in the future where most of the earth is covered in water. Right away you meet one of the two main characters Tempest who has a tragic back story and is not sure of all the details in it herself. Our next introduction is to the second main character Lor who's back story we get immediately. From the very beginning you can see that both characters have deep personal issues that need solving and you get a feeling they're going to help each other.
The writing style is very easy to read, almost relaxing. The plot seems like it will have plenty of ups and downs. The characters all seem very well rounded, one girl looking for answers, the sister with the answers and the boy that solves his personal dilemma while helping them.
