Since her sister's death, Tempe has been struggling with the complicated feelings of trying to move on and handle everyone walking on eggshells around her. She wishes to speak with her sister one last time - not due to her grief, but because of anger over something that happened prior to her passing. The reader is left in wonder about what has happened and what is Tempe's real motive for wishing to resurrect her. I love a good murder mystery, and I'm hooked in even more by complicated family relations! The world building certainly draws you in as the mystery begins to unravel.
