Fantasy is a genre that I typically avoid but I can't help being intrigued by Vanishing Deep. The world that the story takes place in is so fascinating to learn about, with an environment almost completely covered in ocean and an institution that brings people temporarily back from the dead. The characters, Tempest and Lor, already seem developed with distinct personalities and backstories.
The book cover is not my favorite but it is not bad either. Something about her face and her expression is turning me off; she looks too porcelain. I do really like the environment and the reflection of the water though.
Overall I definitely plan to continue this book once it is released. It seems like a promising fantasy read that just might change my mind about the genre.
