The Vanishing Deep by Astrid Scholte started out well in the excerpt, but I couldn’t fully delve into the story as it went on. Don’t get me wrong Scholte’s writing is beautiful, but it takes a while to get use to, maybe I’m just not attracted to the content of what the story is about, so I would read this at your own risk.
