This story sounds intriguing and captured my attention solely from the blurb. The cover also makes me think of some kind dark mermaid being part of the story. It is interesting to think that one could buy another’s life back for 24 hours, and even more so that they could escape their imminent death by escaping certain people. I’d love to find out where this journey goes!
