The first few chapters of The Vanishing Deep are interesting with a little bit of humorous moments thrown in, which I appreciate. Unfortunately, I have recently read about the same type of "atmosphere" this book presents (a world being swallowed by water/floods) so I think I am not in the right head space to appreciate this book. The sneak peak was not inventive or catching enough for me. I might take a look at this book once it has been released!
