I do not read much sci fi, but this book might be a gateway. The opening chapters set the stage in a world deluged by flood waters. One girl, alone in the watery world after the death of her parents and sister, struggles to survive, and to afford the fee to bring her sister back to life for 24 hours. A young man, plagued by his role in the death of his best friend in a tragic accident, tries to hide from the world in the very facility that houses the dead waiting for revival.
I’m assuming the two storylines cross at some point...how could they not? I can’t wait to see where this goes.
