Atmospheric descriptions and poetic writing.
This is perhaps the most eventful of excerpts I've read on BookishFirst so far. A lot happens and there is a heavy dose of action, mystery, drama, and writing that tends toward atmospheric and poetic. The writing style flows nicely, I can see this being a weekend read and easy to get into. The first person perspective comes off as strong and driven. Also like the inclusion of time stamps before a chapter, which seem to reinforce a sort of suspense leading up to big events. Curious to see where this goes.
