Think I'll pass
"Something nestled within a patch of bright pink coral. Something green. A rare color, certainly down here."
This is where I was taken out of the story, because... the majority of bioluminescent creatures in the ocean emit a blue and/or green light (and I'm overlooking the fact that most of them don't emit a continuous light).
I get that this is fantasy/sci-fi and maybe this planet isn't Earth and things work differently, but I think it's more likely that the writer just didn't care.
On top of that, the book switches between characters but it's written in 1st-person-POV, which is not my preference. I'll pass.
