I was taken on a ride as soon as I opened the pages of this novel. It was interesting from the first page to the last. The characters were well developed, real, raw and compelling. The writing pulled me into the story and I could easily picture all that was going on. I quickly came to care for the French family and although I could understand why they were broken, I desperately wanted them to heal and connect again. The story is not that simple. It also has another layer as we meet some deranged and dangerous killers. A simple act on a warm summer day ignited the furry of a crazy man and the story is like a fire ignited. You have a little bit of everything in this one, a broken family, the good cop and some malicious killers.
