I've never read a John Hart novel before, and boy have I been missing out!
This one grabbed my attention from page one -- I connected with the story, the characters, the drama. The dialogue jumped off the page, and the suspense was top-notch.
I especially loved the way John would write from one character's perspective, and then rewind time (or sometimes continue time) from another character's perspective, so the reader knew everything that was happening.
Even on the pages where nothing was happening, you knew something was just around the corner, waiting to occur. It was hard to put this down at night and go to sleep -- I wanted to read it all at once.
Based on this book, I'll definitely be checking out John Hart's backlist titles. He's a superb writer and storyteller.
