We instantly connect with Gibby, the high school boy and youngest of three. In the midst of his adolescent years he's trying to figure out where he belongs. His oldest brother died in the war and his middle brother, Jason, served in the war but ends up in trouble and in jail. Jason is released but knows he's not welcome home. He finds Gibby and reconnects by spending the day with him. Some events occur, a woman is found murdered and everyone suspects Jason. Gibby is convinced his brother is innocent and ventures on a quest to prove it. This book had me up at night, finding every spare minute of the day to read and turning pages in record speed. 5 stars for sure!
