Be Prepared for Tension, Suspense, and Emotional Turmoil
As always, John Hart does not disappoint. In The Unwilling, he once again brings the characters to life where they find their way into our hearts. His characters are real, complex individuals that draw the reader deep into their lives. We feel for these characters, we want to know more about these characters, and we KNOW these characters in real life.
The Unwilling was different from Hart's other books in that it touched on a war and had some elements of horror in it. And while those elements can be dark and depressing, Hart weaves them into the story with absolute perfection. This is a truly engaging story that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Hart is one of my favorite authors. He truly knows how to tell a great story that sucks the reader in. I am always bummed when I finish one of his books because I know that I will have to wait awhile for his next one to come out.
