I can't say why but I am drawn to books about fractured families. This one already shows great promise. I have only read one other book by John Hart, Redemption Road. He did such a brilliant job writing about a damaged man trying to make his way in the world. This one too already shows signs of being just as good. I can't wait to read the whole book.
