this book puts me in the mind of the movie the outsiders with matt dillion and ralph macchio because of its rawness and grit. it seems to be a roughly wrapped package in the way jason is all rough around the edges. you know its going to be a good read because he's gonna add some unprofessionalism and dirt to it. i would like to read this book because its not all nice and "the son has come home from war and prison and he needs our help and our family needs mending and gosh darn we can do this and the end." the cover of the book is fitting in that gibby has no clue what is beyond that ledge, but he is about to find out sooner rather than later and he wont have chance around, or anyone else to talk him down. i have a feeling that the gibby in the beginning will be a totally different gibby by the end of the book. i need to read this book and then i will direct the movie!
