I've never been interested in this genre, but I've been trying to broaden my horizons. Maybe I broadened them too much because I'm still not interested. Just the first few pages of this were confusing and boring. I don't have a grasp on any of the characters, and I don't know why the perspective shifted from third person to first person. Shifting perspective like that is rarely a good look and requires talent to pull off. I'm just not into this one.
