The Unwilling is marketed as a crime fiction with raw emotions and thrilling elements. The stormy backdrop on the cover is a great touch, immediately portraying the tones that are likely to make this novel iconic. It was enough to catch my attention!
I was a bit worried that it would be a little too heavy for my taste – but the first look has told me otherwise. I’m honestly really curious about where this book is going to lead. It’s brilliantly intense and very well written. I hate that the first look had to end!
I’m a fan of mystery novels and thrillers. But I feel like The Unwilling is the best of both worlds here. It’s rich and intense, and yet the characters feel so alive and so very human. I can already tell so much about them, even though I’ve only gotten a glimpse for what is in store with this novel.
In fact (and I don’t normally say this), I think I’m just going to go ahead and preorder this book now. You know, in case the odds don’t work out in my favor. Because I really would love to see how The Unwilling plays out. At least the wait won’t be too long!
