I’m not a big history nut but whenever I read historical fiction I am always enlightened. I did know that Harriet Tubman aka Moses was a leader in the Underground Railroad. What I did not know was that she was also a spy for the Union Army. She devised a plantation raid and was put in charge of a team of black scouts! What a woman! And so many obstacles she had to overcome. Even though the story had a very slow pace I was intrigued with the setting and the bravery of Harriet. She did not let anything stand in her way. Freedom for all no matter what the price. This book may not be for everyone but I found it interesting and well researched. If you love history I do recommend. Love the cover!
