I really enjoyed readying about Harriet Tubman and how she helped by becoming a spy to help with the war. She truly was a hero, having helping with the Underground Railroad, and now with military operations. She seemed to have no fear, and was often highly valued and revered by high ranking white military men, even though she was a run away slave that was wanted. No one turned her in, and often they asked for her advice. I don't think it is well known that she had helped the military during the Civil War, and helped to get freedom for over 500+ slaves all while putting her life in danger everyday she was helping. It would be interesting to find out if Margaret was really her daughter. I really enjoyed this book, even though it took a little while to get used to the writing because of how the author used authentic language that was spoken amongst a lot the slaves.
