I did not know that Harriet Tubman was married to a free man. The story starts with a free Harriet thinking about her husband that would not come with her when she escaped even though he was free. Harriet has been “free” for 15 years, working on the Underground Railroad and she also seems to own a business. I want to learn more about such an American icon.
