I really REALLY enjoyed this book!!! I believe the fact it was a small but impactful book helped me stay on track.
They were SO many great moments. I love that Jake has psychic abilities and is able to show us how it works.
The comparison to Get Out threw me off and had me disappointed at first. It's not until the Very end that it actually clicks and experience it.
I also like that we get to read from both Sawyer's and Jake's point of views. We learn slowly who Sawyer was pre-school shooter and eventually see what led to the demise of his actions.
I'm not gunna lie. Toward the end of the book I became concerned for Jake's character from the many disappointments/hurdles in his life and Sawyer's evil spirit harassing him. It was all beginning to be too much for him and he rarely opened up to people.
