The taking of jake Livingston was honestly everything I’ve been looking for award to! It has horror ghosts and well developed characters that I loved! It was short and face paced which I loved plus seeing an lgbtq character is so refreshing and who’s black! Omg I love !
I could definitely feel myself slip into jakes shoes as if I was seeing ghosts so that really cool ! Sawyer was the perfect villain in this story because even tho he did bad things reading his story was starting to make me feel empathy towards him, i guess I felt his pain and anger.
I really wish this was a longer book so I could see some of the relationships jake has evolve more and delve deeper into them! Some plot points felt a little rushed but otherwise it was a fabulous book especially for the spooky Halloween season! I highly recommend for a quick good read !
