"My solitude ended and I've never gotten it back." That's a quick quote from the first chapter, when Jake is describing his pseudo friendship with Grady. I don't know why it stuck out to me, but just the way the whole thing was written, it just seemed kind of poetic. Maybe because I am also someone who values my solitude, so Jake and I have that in common. The writing in general so far is really captivating me, and the Jake being a medium is an interesting concept. It brings me back to the days when I used to be obsessed with mediums and would watch them all day, every day on the television, and vengeful spirits are right up my alley.
