YA Horror Novel with an Important Message
"I can’t figure out what I hate more: seeing the dead, or being the one Black eleventh grader at St. Clair Prep."
This story has an interesting premise that drew me in from the summary- a high school student who can see dead people/people die, but who is also the only Black student in his grade. The cover is also amazing.
Within the first few chapters, there is already a lot of imagery that makes this read like a horror novel. I look forward to continue reading this book, especially considering the lack of authors of color represented in the horror and thriller genres. A Black YA horror novel sounds exactly like what I should be adding to my TBR pile!
