The cover is the first thing I noticed and was instantly interested in finding out more. The plot sounded really interesting too so I was excited to find out more and read the first look. Sad to say that the writing, while not bad by any means, felt slightly juvenile and out of place with the plot I had imagined. This is partially my fault because as a middlegrade this seems great I just was expecting something else.
