It’s not easy being a teen in today’s society. It’s not easy being the minority or and being targeted for your differences, especially by figures of authority. And, it’s not easy seeing ghost- especially the ones with more bite than bark. This book is setup to tackle a lot of mainstream topics. Marketed as being in the same vein as Get Out, I’m interested in seeing how this story will take modern days horror such as the school shooting, issues of race, economic status, and sexuality and infuse them with a paranormal flair. This first glimpse shows promise and the cover art is amazing. I feel like this could also be successful as a graphic novel someday.
