Well this certainly hit the ground running. I love a book that starts by dropping you straight into the story and has you asking questions for page one. I have been hyped about this book since seeing its cover for the first time several months ago, and after reading this teaser I can't wait to read it in full and get all of the many questions I am left with answered.
The writing is fast-paced and exciting while still including lots of clear imagery and scene-setting so that you can imagine everything that Jake and Sawyer are describing. Creepy, weird, twisted, and pretty gruesome; I can't wait to see what all Ryan Douglass has in store for us.
