It took me one sentence to like Jake. And by the end of the first chapter I was hooked. I love how blurred the line between the living and the dead is for Jake. And if seeing the dead isn't bad enough, hating every second of school is even worse. This novel promises to be a complex exploration of what it means to explore the consequences of the past, forgiveness, and understanding how to move forward when nothing makes sense. I can't wait for more.
