I found the summary confusing. It didn't give me a great idea about the book, and the sample didn't help pull me in. The cover is just okay. The blurb and writing seemed a bit haphazard ... unless you enjoy an overabundance of adjectives. Swearing on the first page turned me off, as well. With the blurb and sample, it just felt like a hot mess to me.
