The first part of this book is just a bunch of dialogue that I could not follow. From the rock bands that are "name dropped," this should be taking place around the time when I was in my 20's, but no one I knew talked like that. I don't know if the author was trying to be cool (sex, drugs, and rock n roll?), but I found the crude language and the general vibe off-putting. Sorry...
