Let me start by saying, I am NOT the intended audience for this book. While I love a good self-help book that promotes reflection and growth, I prefer those to be free of any specific religious content. Obviously, this book is not that. I read the first impression giving the book the benefit of the doubt that it could be guided by Christian teaches but not absolutely inundated with them. Well...it is.

Don't get me wrong. If you are Christian and you deeply resonate with the teachings of your religion, this would be a GREAT tool to add to your resources. It's just not my cup of tea.

Additionally, this excerpt didn't feel like it was the most representative of the book as a whole. The majority of the excerpt (19 of the 23 pages) was introductions, acknowledgements, and a table of contents. This does not allow the reader to get as clear a picture of the book itself.
