The bright summer sun colors of this book cover are sure to catch one’s eye. And who can argue with a positive attitude plan that takes only 100 days ? Hardly a single issue of a magazine has gone out into the world without at least one positive-thinking or best-practices article in it. Brick and mortar bookstores have entire aisles devoted to self-improvement of mind and/or body. With that in mind, it is a pretty big claim from the review within the pages of this book that says “[The Sun Shine Mind] crack[s] the code” for daily happiness, joy and peace. Some of the advice is well worn- display any award you won (like frame and hang your diploma or certification) and keep a journal. I do believe in the power of prayer, but this book seems to be written for someone who is absolutely and truly lost and who may not be sure if they have a religion but are willing to listen to basic Christian tenets.

Readers may want to know ahead of time that this book includes quotations from the Bible and in particular a version called the “New International Version” that appears to be published from the same publisher of this book. The authors met in Bible study.
