Even as a religious woman herself, I found my first impression of The Sunshine Mind to be a bit cliche. It reads with a carefreeness that not everyone in this world can afford. However, from what I read, I do feel that the novel offers some advice that we could all benefit from. We could all benefit from some carelessness and sunshine, we should all dance around in public sometimes, no matter how cringe it is. In a perfect world, we all could and no one would think twice about it. Such a perfect world as this is what the novel prompts and while that is not very realistic or relatable, it is still something we should all long for at the end of the day.
