The mysterious Man in the Mirror game has been a legend on Westmont Prep’s campus for years but no one is quite sure what goes on or what led to the murder of two students playing the game by a teacher at the abandoned boarding house on campus last summer. A popular podcast around the one year anniversary draws attention to the murders as well as the suicides of some of the survivors of the game. Rory, an expert on reconstructing cold cases, is drawn to the area by her psychologist partner, Lane, begins to dig into the case to try and find answers that have remained hidden. The story has some jumps in timelines and changing narration but it all comes together for a tight conclusion! I really enjoyed the characters of Rory and Lane and hope to read more stories featuring them.
