The first page had me hooked into wanting to know more about the characters. The description of the train scene made me sad and my heart ache for the loss hut as you start reading more and fine the brother is more disturbed then initially thought. I did find I wanted to continue however as I got into it, the story slowed down and I was finding it less intense and addictive. I found the characters to be well developed but especially enjoyed the descriptive setting. I could invision my own siblings along the train track, me sitting opposite the boy asking questions, and feeling the losses as a parent. This brings forth a very disturbing reality our kids deal with at schools and I am curious how it plays out.
