I was introduced to this book by one of my ARC websites. I did not get a copy but it has been on my radar ever since I saw it there. I must say, I was not disappointed when I was finally able to get my hands on a copy. This book is rich with so many different storylines and perspectives throughout the book. It was a bit hard to keep up with with all the jumping around, but for the most part I was able to. I found myself making a lot of connections about what might come next and on a few occasions I was right, but in others I was wrong! It was a very complex web to sort through and get everything straight at the end, but the author did a great job at laying everything out.

I, like many others, did not ready the first novel in this "series" but I found that this book stood alone without really needing to have read the first one. I liked Rory and Lane, but I felt a bit as if the Rory/Lane story line was competing with the Westmont Prep story line. While they were connected and intertwined, they also seemed pretty distinct. I think the author may have to choose to focus on one or the other a bit more in future sequels.
